SEIU 32BJ Training Fund is seeking qualified part-time adult education instructor candidates for one or more training locations, including remote online classes.

Locations include NY and other states; instructors will plan, teach, and assess adult education curricula while maintaining attendance records and participating in professional development.

The 32BJ Training Fund is seeking qualified part-time adult education instructor candidates in one or more of our training locations, including remote online classes.

About us

SEIU 32BJ is a service union that represents cleaners, maintenance workers, service staff, and security officers in the New York City area and nine other states on the East Coast. Our mission is to educate every member so that they have the tools they need to meet the challenges of a changing industry.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with students from a variety of linguistic and cultural backgrounds
• Able to use digital platforms to instruct, communicate, and record program data.
• Appropriate license or certification required for some courses.

COVID-19 Considerations

• Record of completed COVID-19 vaccine or confirmed medical/religious exemption
• Compliance with current COVID-19 protocols of the organization

Classes offered

• Sessions are scheduled Monday through Friday, from 9am to 9pm, and on Saturdays from 9am to 4pm.
• Teaching schedule is based on instructor’s availability during the times sessions are held.
