If you have experience in facilitating and instructing Fitness classes, Associated Recreation Council (ARC) has a role for you asInstructor- FITNESS Strength and Conditioning- Older Adults (Ballard /Bitter Lake /Loyal Heights /Magnolia /Queen Anne Community Center).These are year-round part-time roles.

ARC, in partnership with Seattle Parks and Recreation, serves Seattle by offering access to licensed childcare and a variety of recreational and lifelong learning programs, classes, and activities.The Instructor- FITNESS Strength and Conditioning will design and lead safe and effective standing and chair fitness, stretching, movement exercise & resistance training programs, tailoring them to individuals' needs and abilities, while promoting healthy lifestyles and overall well-being.

Instructor- FITNESS Strength and Conditioningresponsibilities:

  • Design and lead safe and effective standing and chair fitness, stretching, movement exercise & resistance training programs, tailoring them to olderindividuals' needs and abilities, while promoting healthy lifestyles and overall well-being.
  • Demonstrate and explain exercises, ensuring proper form and technique to minimize injury risk.
  • Lead group fitness classes or individual sessions, motivating participants and fostering a positive, supportive environment.
  • Provide modifications and progressions to accommodate varying fitness levels and abilities.


Instructor- FITNESS Strength and Conditioningrequirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Basic fitness knowledge, specialized certifications, and experienceequivalent.

Pay:

  • Starting Pay: $26.50- $28.50
  • Full Pay Range: $26.50-36.50/hr(employee may earn up to $36.50/hr with continued employment)
