Job Description

Job Duties

  • Develops instructional materials, aligned with identified learning objectives, course competencies, and instructional interventions, to support both student self-service use and use in virtual one-to-many events.
  • Provides effective, relevant, and engaging one-to-many virtual events aligned with identified learning objectives.
  • Continually develops knowledge, skills, and expertise through active participation in faculty learning community and other developmental opportunities.
  • Provides proactive, relevant, timely, and effective one-to-one virtual instruction to students in a specific course or domain.
  • Facilitates student communities to support peer collaboration, effective faculty interaction, and student development.
  • Student-centered and provides effective one-to-one virtual coaching to help students achieve personal, academic, and career goals.
  • Adapts instructional and coaching practices to common and typical student needs.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

  • Subject-matter expertise in the assigned content and skills of the course(s)/domain(s)
  • Strong knowledge of how student characteristics interact with different learning needs common to the course(s)/domain(s)
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to moderate online student communities to encourage engagement and learning.

Job Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 15+ graduate credit hours in Finance required; Terminal degree in finance preferred. Education must be from an accredited institution. Education is verified.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience teaching adults in Higher Education; preferably in an online distance based model
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of industry experience in Finance. CFP, CFA, securities licensing, and/or insurance credentialing preferred
  • Masters in Accounting, Finance, or MBA with graduate level training in Corporate Finance, Financial Management, and Financial Analysis
  • Experience providing student support and instruction; demonstrated ability to work with struggling or at-risk learners
  • Ability to break down complex concepts into content that is more accessible to learners
  • Ability to deliver exceptional customer service (AKA “Student Obsession) to our Students
  • Office: Candidate must reside in the continental United States and works from a dedicated office space that enables reliable support of required technology; must be free of noise, distractions, and interruptions during prescribed work hours
  • Flexible schedule to accommodate learner schedules and occasional college meetings/events; learners require support evenings and weekends
  • Up to 20% travel is required of this role.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional designation such as CPA, CMA, CFA, or FPAC strongly preferred
  • Terminal degree is preferred with at least 5 years in the Finance industry and 3 years of Instructional Finance experience.
  • Experience with distance education and distance learning students is preferred.

Position & Application Details
