Instructor, Engineering Technology — Precision Machining (Temporary)

Terms of Employment:Full-time, Temporary, 2026-2027 Academic Year

Classification:Temporary

Salary Range:$42,987-$85,165 rate is based on degree and experience.
Excellent fringe benefits.

Job Summary:This teaching assignment may include a full range of undergraduate courses within the Engineering Technology discipline about a variety of advanced manufacturing concepts. The courses will include both lectures and hands on labs.

Responsibilities:

  • Teaching assignments may include day, evening, weekend, in-person and/or online courses.
  • Maintaining scheduled office hours, advising students, developing curriculum, participating in college service, and professional development activities.
  • Leadership in developing and improving our academic courses.
  • Community service is encouraged.

Supervision Received: Reports to the Chief Academic Officer.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Associate’s degree or higher required in Engineering or a related Engineering field.
  • 4,000 hours of work experience in mechanical engineering, engineering design, industrial technology, and/or the advanced manufacturing field.
  • All academic degrees must be from a regionally accredited college or university.
  • Ability to maintain good relationships with students, staff, and community members.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Teaching experience at the community college level.
  • Experience and/or interest in using multimedia/new instructional technology in the classroom.
  • Experience with various 3D CAD software applications.
  • Experience with programming and operating CNC machinery and related software.
  • Be fluent in internationally accepted machining practices and measurement systems.
  • Technical knowledge and skills in computerized numerical control (CNC) programming, using the G-Code programming language and utilizing a 3-axis CNC milling machine.
  • Understanding of electronics and related equipment.
  • Understanding of mechatronic and robotic equipment.
  • Experience and interest in utilizing Learning Management Systems for course enhancement or delivery.
