Taste Buds Kitchen - Cupertino is seeking a high-energy Part-Time Culinary Instructor to host fun, engaging cooking classes and events for kids, families, and adults. The ideal candidate brings a strong passion for the culinary arts alongside top-notch organizational skills to lead memorable events for guests of all ages.

Availability for flexible scheduling including nights, weekends, and holidays is required; you will instruct classes, camps, and parties and may manage a team for larger events

Qualifications

• Self-starter in a fast-paced environment.
• Passion for food and culinary entertainment.
• Excellent communication with all ages.
• Confident with cooking and baking techniques.
• Ability to present to large groups.
• At least 1+ year entertaining guests.
• CPR certified is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Instruct cooking classes, camps, and parties for ages 2‑99.
• Lead a friendly, energetic guest experience.
• Ensure success of events from start to finish.
• Interact with guests to ensure satisfaction.
• Work solo or supervise culinary assistants for larger events.
• Set up before class and clean up after.
• Maintain a safe, clean environment; provide first aid if needed.

Culinary Cooking Class Instructor Responsibilities:

• Availability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as scheduled
• Instruct cooking classes, camps, and parties for ages 2-99
• Engage and teach guests about various cooking/baking skills related to the class menu
• Create a friendly, energetic, and consistent experience for our guests
• Responsible for the success of the event from start to finish
• Interact with all guests to ensure customer satisfaction
• Work solo or manage and supervise a team of culinary assistants for larger events
• Set up before class and clean-up after
• Create a controlled, safe, and clean environment
• Provide first aid / CPR treatment if needed

Culinary Cooking Class Instructor Qualifications:

• Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment
• Natural curiosity and passion for food & culinary entertainment
• Upbeat personality with an infectious smile
• Excellent communication skills with all ages
• Confident with a range of cooking and baking techniques
• Ability to present and communicate clearly to large groups
• At least one or more years of experience entertaining kids and/or adults
• Formal culinary education or equivalent experience a plus
• Formal teaching, training or childhood development experience a plus
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 45 lbs with or without reasonable accommodation
• CPR Certified
