Taste Buds Kitchen in Cupertino, CA seeks a high-energy Part-Time Culinary Instructor to host engaging cooking classes and events for kids, families, and adults. The role requires passion for the culinary arts and strong organizational skills.

You will lead hands-on classes, adapt to varied ages, set up and supervise teams for larger events, ensure safety and guest satisfaction, and bring enthusiasm to every session.

Qualifications

• Must be a self-starter thriving in a fast-paced environment.
• Passion for food and culinary entertainment.
• Excellent communication with all ages.
• At least one year of entertaining kids/adults.
• CPR certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Availability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.
• Instruct cooking classes, camps, and parties for ages 2-99.
• Engage and teach guests about various cooking/baking skills related to the class menu.
• Create a friendly, energetic, and consistent experience for our guests.
• Responsible for the success of the event from start to finish.
• Interact with all guests to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Work solo or manage and supervise a team of culinary assistants for larger events.
• Set up before class and clean-up after.
• Create a controlled, safe, and clean environment.
• Provide first aid / CPR treatment if needed

Culinary Cooking Class Instructor Responsibilities:

• Availability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as scheduled

Culinary Cooking Class Instructor Qualifications:

• Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment
• Natural curiosity and passion for food & culinary entertainment
• Upbeat personality with an infectious smile
• Excellent communication skills with all ages
• Confident with a range of cooking and baking techniques
• Ability to present and communicate clearly to large groups
• At least one or more years of experience entertaining kids and/or adults
• Formal culinary education or equivalent experience a plus
• Formal teaching, training or childhood development experience a plus
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 45 lbs with or without reasonable accommodation
• CPR Certified
