Job summary

Interplay Learning is seeking an in-person Instructor/Trainer to deliver crane, rigging and industrial maintenance instruction under our best-in-class curriculum. You’ll be the human bridge between our 3D simulations and real-world mastery, traveling to client sites and training centers across the United States.

This full-time role demands at least 5 years in construction/industrial environments, strong leadership in training, and the ability to manage multiple programs, schedules and sign-offs

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years in construction/industrial environments.
  • 5 years direct experience conducting, managing, or planning training activities (rigging, crane operation, or lift planning).
  • Willingness to travel weekly; passport required.

Responsibilities

Position: Instructor/Trainer

(In-person, Instructor-led training for Crane, Rigging and Industrial Maintenance)

Travel Required (must be based within 2 hours of an International Airport):

This is a full-time, salaried role delivering in person, instructor-led training for clients. This position requires frequent (weekly) travel outside of home-location requiring air travel that may extend to 3-6 days at a time, and occasionally longer. Will require out of state assignments, and may receive overseas assignments. Possess (or be able to obtain) and maintain a travel passport.

Instructors serve as company ambassadors and are expected to depart for assignments weekly (typically Sunday through Thursday/Friday).

ITI operates training centers in the following locations: Woodland, WA; Cleveland, OH; Memphis, TN; Lakeland, FL; Pasadena, TX. Some training sessions will be conducted out of our training centers and some will be onsite at client locations.

Experience Required:

Minimum of 5 years of experience working in a construction and/or industrial environment (preferably in the industries of our customer base) with a variety of crafts and team member roles, and 5 years of experience directly conducting, managing, or planning one of the following activity sets:

  • Rigging loads with cranes, inspecting rigging, signaling.
  • Operating, inspecting, and/or maintaining cranes.
  • Lift planning, directing lifts, lift plan review and safety/risk assessments of lifting activities.
  • Preferably with leadership role experience with training experience.

Previous training or adult education experience is not required for this role. Completion of a two-month onboarding process will be provided before teaching independently.

  • Deliver training services at various locations, including travel assignments that may require being away from home for 3-6 days at a time.

Requirements:

Pay:

$85k-$95k + eligible for a quarterly bonus
