A growing integrator of professional services is seeking an Instructor/Course Developer in Dayton. This role involves creating public health training curriculum and conducting instruction on various topics. Ideal candidates will have an Associate’s Degree in Public Health and extensive experience in the field, especially with prior military experience favored.

Is it your calling to serve our Nation’s Heroes? Avosys is seeking an Instructor/Course Developer to support the mission of the 711 Human Performance Wing.
• Assist with the creation of curriculum for the Public Health Education Division. Serve as a subject matter expert in developing Public Health Education training. Design lesson plans using Instructional System Development methodology.
• Conduct classroom instruction on public health topics, including Public Health Apprentice, Contingency Preventive Medicine, Operational Entomology, Hearing Conservation Certification, and other workshops.
• Present instruction according to lesson plans, adapting as needed to student needs. Adjust learning experiences to meet student needs.
• Use approved instructor methodologies as outlined in Air Force Instruction, including attention, motivation, and interim summaries during each lesson.
• Achieve acceptable ratings in all lessons evaluated by USAFSAM/ED protocols and in annual instructor evaluations. Address trends identified through student critiques.
• Maintain course documentation with no more than one minor formatting and one minor text error.
• Provide operational consultation on Force Health Management and Community Health Public Health programs in the Air Force.
• Possess advanced skills in using equipment such as outbreak investigation tools, mosquito traps, and food inspection materials.
• Utilize health-related databases and conduct health surveillance.
Minimum Educational Requirements
Basic Instructor Course (BIC) presented by USAFSAM/ED within 1 year of start date if not already BIC certified.
