Job summary

UBTech is seeking a full-time, on-site instructor at the Roosevelt campus to prepare and deliver competency-based instruction to students. The role focuses on developing relevant curriculum, aligning content with industry standards, and maintaining up-to-date program materials.

Responsibilities include advising students, evaluating progress, and ensuring safety in the training area, with a schedule of Monday-Thursday mornings and Friday mornings.

Description

Job Focus: Supports the College Mission and serves students, employers, and the college community by preparing and providing relevant technical instruction. Under general supervision, prepares relevant curriculum for
competency-based instruction in an open-entry/open-exit or lecture environment for a relevant industry.Maintains a positive and productive learning environment by working collaboratively with students, staff, and college partners.

  • 6. Actively assist in accreditation processes
  • 7. Advise, evaluate, and record student progress
  • 8. Maintain knowledge of current trends and developments in respective industry
  • 9. Maintain certifications, licensures and accreditation standards for program area
  • 10. Assist with student recruitment, retention and job placement efforts
  • 11. Create, support, and maintain an active Occupational Advisory Committee and industry partnerships
  • 12. Ensure safety and security requirements are met in the training area
  • 13. Foster a productive learning and training environment
  • 14. Encourage and exemplify professionalism and good work habits
  • 15. Request and maintain supplies and equipment inventories
  • 16. Propose required budget and purchase requests; follow purchasing guidelines
  • 17. Prepare and maintain all required documentation and administrative reports
  • 18. Performs other related duties as assigned
Work Location:

Roosevelt, UBTech Campus.

Work Schedule:

Monday-Thursday 7:30am-3:45pm, Friday 7:30am-2:30pm

Classification:

Level 2 Employee; Working a schedule greater than 1560 hours but less than 2080 hours annually. This is a full time/exempt, benefited position.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 1. 4 years demonstrated experience in respective industry
  • 2. Must successfully pass criminal background check.
  • 3. Valid driver’s license.
