Case Western Reserve University, Department of Biochemistry is seeking a highly qualified candidate to fill a permanent, 12-month faculty position at the rank of Instructor. This is a non-tenure-track position, whose duties will be spent on teaching, advising, and supporting the education mission of the Department.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Advise undergraduate students in course selection for their programs of study, research opportunities, and career planning.
  • Work closely with faculty colleagues to provide teaching support, including student assessment, and maintain office hours for advising and aiding students.
  • Additional duties include teaching and management of laboratory courses for undergraduate and masters students as well as for summer research programs.
Qualifications
  • Ph.D. in biochemistry, chemistry, biology, or related field.

  • Must be eligible to work in the United States.

The annual starting base salary range for this position is from $65,000 to $80,000. CWRU considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and organizational considerations when extending an offer.
