Loma Linda University Health is seeking an Instructor to contribute to education, research, and service across the department and university in a remote-enabled role.
The position requires a bachelor’s degree or higher, licensure/registration as appropriate, and at least two years of professional clinical practice or teaching. Proficiency with educational technology, Canvas, and Banner, plus strong communication, critical thinking, and organizational skills, is expected.
***This position is eligible for remote work outside of California. The pay range listed represents the pay scale for California-based employees. For employees working outside of California, the pay range may be adjusted based on the employee's work location. Where location-based adjustments apply, compensation can be up to 20% lower than the posted range. The Instructor's responsibility encompasses education, research, and/or service. Demonstrates loyalty to the mission, policies, standards, and regulations of his/her department, school, and the University, and follows the administrative policies set up by the University and the individual school. Performs other duties as needed.
A baccalaureate or higher from an accredited institution, registration and/or licensure. A demonstrated interest in clinical or classroom teaching. Two or more years of professional clinical practice and/or classroom teaching experience.
Knowledge of current technology and educational media used in teaching and presentations. Able to effectively communicate changes and instructions in a professional, effective and positive manner. Able to read; write legibly; speak in English with professional quality; use computer, printer, and software programs necessary to the position as well as Canvas and Banner. Able to communicate effectively on the telephone; think critically; manage multiple assignments effectively; organize and prioritize workload; able to relate and communicate positively, effectively, and professionally with others; work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure. Able to distinguish colors as necessary; hear sufficiently for general conversation in person and on the telephone, and identify and distinguish various sounds associated with the workplace; see adequately to read computer screens, and written documents necessary to the position.
