Position SummaryThe Department of Management at Michigan State University seeks to add up to two fixed term (teaching-oriented) faculty members specializing in strategic management. Teaching responsibilities will emphasize undergraduate courses in strategic management. Opportunities also may be available to teach topics beyond strategic management (e.g., entrepreneurship or international management) or graduate courses. Responsibilities for this position include service supporting the activities of the Management Department and Broad College of Business.

Required DegreeDoctorate -Strategic Management
Minimum RequirementsCandidates should hold a degree in a relevant area of scholarship and be able to teach a diverse student population. The Instructor rank requires a master’s degree. The Assistant Professor rank requires a doctoral degree. Candidates should be able to demonstrate exceptional ability or potential as a classroom instructor through peer or student evaluations, commentary in letters of recommendation, and/or experience in strategic management. The appointment is for the academic year with an 18-credit teaching requirement. This is a one-year appointment subject to annual renewal. Salary is negotiable. Additional summer teaching opportunities are also possible with additional compensation.
