Position Details
  • Title: Instructor/Assistant Professor, Nursing

  • Salary Range: $68,607-$83,467. This position may be eligible for a $10k signing bonus.
  • Work Mode: Full-time, in-person on campus or at alternative locations.

Employment Details

Full-time faculty contracts start August 16 and end June 15. Pay occurs on the 7th and 22nd of each month. Benefits are comprehensive. Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S.; visa sponsorship is not available. Only residents of Maryland, Delaware, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia, or the District of Columbia are eligible for employment.

Job Responsibilities
  • Teach in nursing specialties: Medical-Surgical, Maternity, or Pediatrics.
  • Participate in year-round PN program, including summer hours.
  • Teach RN program courses, including lecture, lab, clinical, and simulation, possibly off-site.
  • Maintain accreditation standards and collaborate with external partners.
  • Oversee lab equipment and student records, using technology like Colleague and CANVAS.
  • Attend professional development and departmental meetings.
  • Participate in committee work and support student success.
Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in nursing.
  • At least two years of current full-time nursing experience in Medical-Surgical, Maternity, or Pediatrics.
  • One year (30 credit hours) teaching and curriculum experience.
  • Current RN license and CPR certification.
  • Leadership, customer service, critical thinking, and communication skills.
  • Commitment to diversity and inclusion.
  • Flexible schedule including some evenings and weekends.
Preferred Qualifications
  • PN experience.
  • Community college teaching experience.
  • Experience with simulation labs.
  • Bilingual or additional language skills.
