Job description

Instructor/Assistant/Associate Professor of Medicine at CUIMC - General Nephrology


The Division of Nephrology at Columbia University Irving Medical Center is seeking a Clinical Nephrologist at the Instructor, Assistant Professor, or Associate Professor level to contribute to the clinical and educational missions of the division.


Responsibilities will include outpatient care in General Nephrology, inpatient consultative services, and outpatient care of the home, peritoneal, and in-center dialysis patients. Teaching responsibilities will include the training of medical students, residents, and fellows. Scholarship in an area of interest is expected. The Columbia renal division is consistently ranked as one of the top nephrology divisions in the country and offers a great environment for career growth and development.



Minimum Degree and Qualifications:



  • M.D. degree or equivalent, from an approved LCME medical school

  • Satisfactory completion of an Internal Medicine residency and nephrology fellowship from an ACGME accredited program

  • Must be eligible for New York State medical licensure and board eligible or certified in Nephrology by the date of hire
