A leading community center seeks an Art Instructor to teach Sculptural Mixed Media to senior adults. The role focuses on cultivating artistic expression in a supportive environment, requiring strong communication skills and artistic expertise. Description
The Art Instructor teaches Sculptural Mixed Media, introducing senior adults (age 55 and over) to three-dimensional art using a variety of accessible materials. Students will explore wire, cardboard, paper mache, fabric, wood, and found objects to create expressive, imaginative works of art. The course emphasizes construction techniques, form, texture, and creative problem-solving in a supportive and energizing environment.
Schedule: Will be a set class scheduled either on Monday, Wednesday or Thursday - 1 class per week at approximately 3 hours per class. Works year-round with the upcoming session dates of August 4th - October 20th and the next beginning November 3rd.
