Job Summary:
The Adjunct Instructor for Accounting supports student success across CCD’s Accounting AAS, Bookkeeping, Payroll, and Tax Preparation certificate pathways. Instructors teach foundational and intermediate accounting courses with an emphasis on real‑world application, inclusive pedagogy, and hands‑on skill development. This role requires instructors to begin with in‑person teaching assignments, with eligibility for online/hybrid modalities after successful onboarding and demonstrated instructional effectiveness. The position reports to the Business Pathways Program Chair and works collaboratively with faculty and staff to align teaching with program outcomes and college expectations.
Education: Master’s degree in Accounting, or a related master’s degree with at least 18 graduate credit hours in Accounting.
Experience: Occupational experience within the past 20 years in accounting, bookkeeping, payroll, tax preparation, auditing, or related field.
