Job summary

Job Description

The Department of World Languages, Literatures & Cultures at Louisiana State University seeks an instructor of Classics to teach beginning and intermediate Latin and Greek classes and Classical Studies courses in translation, beginning in August 2026.

Teaching load: 12 credit hours per semester (3-4 courses per term). Position is for one year with potential renewal.

Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Classics or related field (PhD preferred)
  • Experience teaching Latin, Greek, and Classical Studies
  • Ability to teach in translation (beginning) required
