Job summary

LAUKOA seeks Education Support Services staff to support the Army Continuing Education System (ACES) across CONUS and OCOS locations. You will administer instruction, counseling, credentialing, testing, and related services to Soldiers’ academic and career development.

The role covers guidance, credentialing, and technology-enabled education programs, ensuring smooth operations at Army Education Centers. A Bachelor's degree and teaching experience are required, with favorable NACI investigation

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in any area and teaching/instructor experience.
  • Degrees must be from a college/university accredited by a national or regional agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
  • End-user instructional experience using a web-based curriculum and environment.
  • Ability to assist students with a web-based curriculum and with technical equipment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office programs.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in individualized or classroom instruction in Math, Reading, English, or related areas.
  • Favorable NACI investigation is required.

Responsibilities

  • Use the Government-provided program of instruction/curriculum per Army policy and guidance.
  • Teach Basic Skills Education Program (BSEP) remediation and test prep.
  • Deliver services for service schools and college classes via face-to-face or virtual methods.
  • Measure student outcomes and maintain records and documentation.
  • Use education management system to announce classes, enroll students, and report absences.
  • Provide individual end-of-course counseling.
  • Offer tutoring developed locally for and by each education office.
  • Enter Soldier details and exam results into the BSEP database.

Summary

Provide Education Support Services required by Headquarters (HQ) Installation Management Command (IMCOM) Army Continuing Education System (ACES) in education offices at Continental United States (CONUS) and Outside the Continental United States (OCONUS) locations as indicated in the requirement.

Provide Army Continuing Education System - Education Support Services that supports Soldiers’ professional and personal growth through a continuum of education programs and services that range from academic and career guidance to enhancement of job performance and skill qualifications and includes assistance to ease the transition of Soldiers returning to civilian life. Services include counseling, credentialing/licensure, testing, instruction, technological and automation services and administration support services at Army Education Centers.

Positions available in Hawaii, Alaska, Korea, Japan, Okinawa, Alabama, Georgia, Florida, Texas, New Mexico, North Carolina, Kentucky, Colorado, New York, Arizona, California, South Carolina, Kansas, Missouri, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Virgina, Washington, Maryland, Illinois, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey Active Army Bases.

Job Description

Qualifications

The minimum education and experience required to perform these services/tasks include

  • Bachelor's degree in any area of study and teaching/instructor experience
  • Degrees must be from a college or university that is accredited by a national or regional accredited agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education
  • End-user instructional experience is using a web based curriculum and environment
  • Ability to assist students with a web-based curriculum and with technical equipment is required
  • Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office computer programs.
  • Minimum of one year relevant experience consisting of at least one (1) year experience in individualized or classroom instruction, including prescriptive remediation of skills in the areas of Math, Reading, English Grammar, Science, Writing, Language Arts, or oral and written communication
  • A favorable NACI investigation is required for this position.

Salary: $20 - $30 per hour + Health and Welfare based on location
