Job summary

CACI International Inc. seeks an Instructional Systems Designer to support HQ AETC A3/6 at Randolph AFB, TX, developing blended learning using ADDIE, IMI, and SCORM to meet USAF readiness goals.

You will work with PMs, SMEs, graphics editors, and developers, maintain courseware, ensure 508 compliance, and apply Articulate/Captivate/Lectora tools; active Secret clearance is required. Bachelor's degree preferred.

Job Title: Instructional System DesignJob Category: TrainingTime Type: Full timeMinimum Clearance Required to Start: SecretEmployee Type: RegularPercentage of Travel Required: Up to 10%Type of Travel: Local* * *The Opportunity:Support for HQ AETC A3/6 to ensure training and resources are planned, programmed, and budgeted to develop, update, and add to the AETC A3/6 Air Force Readiness Training and Security Cooperation (SC) training analysis activities. Work includes competencies development requirements for training analysis activities to include competency-based training development and analysis for USAF readiness and AETC courses. Support to these activities include program management, assessment, analysis, subject matter expertise, pipeline management and scheduling, registrar, curriculum and courseware development, and technical services.Responsibilities:The Instructional Systems Designer will serve as a member of the CACI contract team supporting U.S. Air Force (USAF) Headquarters, Air Education and Training Command's Competencies Division (HQ AETC/A3J) in the Directorate for Operations and Communications (HQ AETC/A3/6) at Joint Base San Antonio Randolph in San Antonio, Texas.Develop training products using a systematic approach, adult learning theories, learning technologies, competency-based learning, and industry best practices for instructional design to create blended learning experiences that support customer and project objectives.Work closely with team members, including project managers, programmers, graphics artists, and editors/quality assurance specialists and collaborate with customers and subject matter experts to develop training curriculum.Qualifications:Required:Active Secret clearance required.Experience with Instructional Systems Design, Interactive Multimedia Instruction (IMI) instructional design, and curriculum development at the post-secondary, or equivalent, level and applying the ADDIE methodology to the full life cycle of course development.Experience developing learning content in Articulate, Adobe Captivate, Adobe Creative Suite, Lectora, or other Commercial of the Shelf (COTS) authoring software.Ability to read, interpret, organize, and synthesize source material into well-written, concise learning products and ability to develop strategies for on-line learning.Experience in conversion of training materials for IMI using current software/technologies.Experience with online/blended learning education and training development and maintenance.Experience developing training content compliant with Sharable Content Object Reference Model (SCORM) and Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973.Experience testing IMI Alpha, Beta, and final SCORM packages.Desired:Bachelor’s degree.Served as an in-residence and/or online instructor.An understanding of competency-based assessment, learning, and development.An understanding of US Air Force foundational and occupational competencies.What You Can Expect:A culture of integrity.At CACI, we place character and innovation at the center of everything we do.
