Job summary

Devereux/TCV Community Services in Homestead, PA is hiring an Instructional Support Specialist for its Day Academy. This full-time role supports educators by assisting with academic, social and behavioral needs of students with intellectual disabilities and autism, including one-on-one tutoring as directed.

Qualifications include an Associate degree and at least two years in a special education or behavioral healthcare setting; PA clearances are required and a PA driver’s license is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required.
• Minimum of two (2) years experience in a special education or behavioral healthcare setting with students with severe/complex behavioral/emotional issues.
• Valid PA Driver’s License preferred.
• State Criminal, Child Abuse and FBI clearances required.

Responsibilities

• Support the teacher’s direction by providing assistance with academic, social and behavioral needs of assigned students.
• Assist in implementing basic educational programming and provide tutoring or one-on-one support for students with special needs.
