Job summary

Qualifications

• Knowledge to assist in instruction in core subjects as verified by ParaPro (if applicable).
• Satisfactory criminal background check required.
• Alternatives to above qualifications may be considered by the board.

Responsibilities

• Assist the teacher with materials, aids, bulletin boards and equipment for direct instruction.
• Schedule space for specialized programs and arrange equipment and seating.
• Prepare for curriculum changes to support diverse student needs.
• Provide supervision before, during, and after school and supervision on buses and in common areas.
• Assist in record-keeping, tests and confidential documentation.
• Lead small group activities following teacher plans and maintain classroom order.
