Job summary

Hendry County School Board is seeking a paraeducator to provide instructional and technical assistance to meet students’ needs. You will support teachers in preparing materials, equipment, and activities for direct instruction and ensure a safe classroom environment.

You will supervise students, assist in assessment tasks, and help with data collection and record-keeping, collaborating with staff and administrators as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two years of college/associate degree or ParaPro verification.
• Satisfactory criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Assist the teacher in preparing materials and instructional tools.
• Supervise students before, during, and after school as assigned.
• Proctor tests, review papers, and help maintain confidential records.
• Lead small group activities and support diverse learners.

Education

High School Diploma or GED

Two years of study at an institution of higher education; or Associate's degree
