- Supervises an assigned team of Early Learning Specialists to support classroom instruction in Early Learning classrooms
- Collaborate with administrators and staff to effectively increase student achievement through coaching, PLCs, professional development, and use of best practices
- Facilitate and deliver professional development to Early Learning Specialists, feeder pattern administrators/coaches, and teachers as necessary
- Regularly observe Instructional Specialists, providing them with coaching and strategies to improve best practices.
- Evaluate Instructional Specialists using the performance evaluation process created by the Human Capital Management Department.
- Provide coaching and additional training to Instructional Specialists as a result of performance evaluations.
- Achieve and maintain reliability on CLASS (Classroom Assessment Scoring System) for PreK or K-2, as assigned
- Demonstrate proficiency of the Cohort Leader screening process required by TEA and become approved as a cohort leader
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in Early Childhood or Elementary Education required
- Master's degree from an accredited university is preferred
- Valid Texas Teacher Certificate with endorsements for subject and subject level assigned is required preferred.
- 3+ years of direct experience is required
- Demonstrate experience in implementing educational programs and mentor individuals in an early childhood setting.
- Demonstrate knowledge of early learning programs and best practices.
- Demonstrate knowledge of and experience in working with children from various demographic areas and diverse ethnicities.
- Demonstrated leadership ability in managing multiple subordinates.
- Demonstrated ability to engage external parties and build relationships.
