Job summary

East Valley Institute of Technology (EVIT) seeks an Automotive Technologies Instructor to guide students through classroom and hands-on training in a professional shop setting. The program aims to prepare students to work on service and maintenance of all types of automobiles, with ASE certification as a goal.

Position is Full Time Exempt for a 10-month calendar, based at the Main Street Campus in Mesa, AZ.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of verifiable automotive industry experience.
• ASE Certifications or ability to obtain within three years.
• Ability to obtain Arizona CTE Certification in Industrial and Emerging Tech.
• Level 1 IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.
• Immunization against/measles & rubella as required.

Under general supervision, the Automotive Technologies Instructor will guide students through classroom and hands-on training in a professional shop environment. Automotive Technologies students leave the program prepared and certified by ASE to work on the service and maintenance of all types of automobiles.

Job Type

Full Time Exempt, 10 Month Calendar.

Salary

$51,917.00 - $84,636.00 Placement in the range will be based on a combination of education, industry related experience, teaching experience, and certification.

Minimum Qualifications

• A minimum of 3 years of verifiable industry experience.
• ASE Certifications ( Or ability to obtain it within three calendar year)
• Ability to obtain an Arizona Department of Education Career & Technical Education (CTE) Certification in the area of Industrial and Emerging Tech. https://www.azed.gov/educator-certification/forms-and-information/certificates
• Level 1 IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
• Proof of immunization against or immunity to measles and rubella if born after January 1, 1957.
