The Perkiomen Valley School District is hiring instructional paraprofessionals for Schwenksville Elementary School in Schwenksville, PA. Job Description

The Perkiomen Valley School District is seeking instructional paraprofessionals to support students in general education at Schwenksville Elementary School. This is a full-time, 10-month positions which include paid time off (personal and sick days) and are eligible for full benefits (medical, prescription, dental, and vision). The hours for this position is 8:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m andare available immediately.

Teacher certification is not required, however it is preferred for this position.

This unique role affords an opportunity to substitute as a teacher on a regular basis and gain classroom management experience.

Purpose of Position

At the direction of the principal, assists teachers by performing a variety of tasks that promote student learning and well-being. Works individually and in small groups with students to reinforce instruction, monitor performance, and support learning. This position also performs a variety of instructional and classroom management supports.

Terms of Employment

• Full-time (7.5 hours/day); 10 months

Compensation

The startinghourly rate for thess positions are $22.00 in accordance with terms of the Perkiomen Valley Educational Support Personnel Association Collective Bargaining Agreement
