Job summary

Ashford Park Elementary School in DeKalb County, GA, seeks an Instructional Paraprofessional to support general education classrooms. You will provide small group and individualized instruction, working with teachers to promote high academic expectations and effective classroom management.

The role requires either 60 semester hours (or 90 quarter hours) with a 2.0 GPA, or a high school diploma with a passing GACE Paraprofessional Assessment, plus eligibility for a state paraprofessional

Qualifications

• 60 semester hours or 90 quarter hours with GPA 2.0+ from an accredited college or university.
• Alternatively a high school diploma or GED plus passing GACE Paraprofessional Assessment.
• Must obtain valid PSC approved paraprofessional certificate.

Responsibilities

• Provide small group or individualized instruction under teacher plans.
• Assist with classroom management to maintain an effective learning environment.
• Assist with student assessment and recordkeeping tasks.
• Develop and organize instructional materials for use with students.
