Perkiomen Valley School District's Schwenksville Elementary seeks an instructional paraprofessional to assist students in special education for learning support. This is a full-time, 10-month position from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with paid personal and sick days and full benefits.

Job Description

The Perkiomen Valley School District is seeking an instructionalparaprofessional to assist students inspecial educationfor learning support atSchwenksville Elementary School.This is a full-time, 10-month position which includes paid time off (personal and sick days) and is eligible for full benefits (medical, prescription, dental, and vision). The hours for this position is 8:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m. and is availableimmediately.

Teacher certification is not required, however it is preferred for this position.

Purpose of Position

At the direction of the principal, assists teachers by performing a variety of tasks that promote student learning and well-being. Works individually and in small groups with students to reinforce instruction, monitor performance, and support learning. This position also performs a variety of instructional and classroom management supports.

Terms of Employment

• Full-time (7.5 hours/day); 10 months

Compensation

The startinghourly rate for thess positions are $22.00 in accordance with terms of the Perkiomen Valley Educational Support Personnel Association Collective Bargaining Agreement
