Job summary

IDEA Public Schools is seeking an Assistant Principal of Instruction to lead instructional staff and coach teachers toward ambitious student outcomes. The role focuses on ensuring all students are on-track for college, leveraging data, observations, and feedback to improve teaching quality and student achievement.

The position is based at IDEA campuses with a focus on strong school culture, collaboration with families, and ongoing professional development for staff.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
• At least 3 years of full-time teaching experience.
• Teacher leadership or administrative experience required.
• Proven track record of success in the K-12 setting.
• Experience coaching others preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead instructional staff to achieve measurable and ambitious results.
• Lead instructional staff to improve teaching quickly and measurably via coaching and observations.
• Supervise TEKS-based curricula and assessments to meet academic expectations.
• Review teachers’ weekly lesson plans and provide feedback.
• Synthesize and prioritize data to develop strategies for goals.
