This recruitment is being conducted to fill temporary assignments at Ventura College only and not to establish an eligibility list for regular appointments; therefore, it may close at any time. Employees hired in this capacity are considered at will, do not accrue property interest in the assignment, and are not eligible for benefits.
Under the direction of a Dean or assigned supervisor, oversee students' learning and practicing skills in veterinary nursing and animal care and handling in an instructional live laboratory; tutor, remediate, and provide instructional assistance to students; assist faculty; and perform technical work to maintain the Veterinary Technology program.
Established in 1925, Ventura College was one of California's first community colleges and currently enrolls 14,500 students. Located approximately 60 miles north of Los Angeles and 30 miles south of Santa Barbara, the 112-acre campus is set in the rolling hills of Ventura, with views of the Channel Islands from several locations.

Associate degree in Veterinary Technology, Animal Science, or a related field, plus two years of experience as a veterinary technician, and one year of experience working with students in an organized setting.
Valid Registered Veterinary Technician license from the California State Veterinary Medical Association or equivalent. Also, valid CPR and First Aid certificates are required.
