Job summary

Lewis County Schools in West Virginia seeks an Instructional Interventionist for a professional extracurricular role. The position involves providing targeted reading/language arts and math interventions and maintaining data-driven progress monitoring during the 2026-2027 school year.

The candidate must hold a WV Teaching Certificate (Elementary Education certificate preferred) and will work contract hourly with duties spanning collaboration with staff, families, and adherence to confidentiality

Qualifications

• Provide high quality instruction and support to students who are at risk in Reading/Language Arts and Math.
• Maintain data-based documentation of tiered intervention training and progress monitoring.
• Participate in progress monitoring and analysis of data to identify students in need of tiered intervention and benchmarking.
• Maintain accurate and complete records and documentation, completed and submitted in a timely manner.
• Work cooperatively and collaboratively with staff and parents to share knowledge, convey program goals, develop skills, and implement the tiered intervention process.
• Maintain the confidentiality of school and student records.
• Other duties as assigned
