Benco Dental, a long-standing family-owned dental distributor in the United States, seeks an Instructional Designer for Learning and Development. This hybrid Pittston, PA role coordinates learning experiences, designs content, and aligns with strategic initiatives to drive associate development.

The position requires communicating effectively, delivering professional development programs, and managing LMS content.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven track record delivering professional development programs.
• Proficient in content development for LMS platforms; Articulate 360 experience preferred.
• Experience navigating LMS systems for course creation and usage.
• Proficient in MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Designs and delivers hi-impact, engaging learning programs.
• Ensures training aligns with strategic initiatives.
• Partners with leaders to develop learning modules for continual improvement.
• Evaluates training programs and selects best-fit methods.
• Assesses training needs and effectiveness using surveys and focus groups.
• Supports course compliance measurements as needed.
• Pre-training and post-training exercises to enhance learning.
• Conducts classroom training and handles scheduling and logistics.
• Maintains LMS courses and troubleshoots issues with IT.
• Drives training delivery in project implementations.
• Performs other duties to support department efficiency.

Position Summary:

This position is responsible for coordinating all aspects of associate learning and ongoing learning experiences including the design, delivery and post-delivery while aligning with Benco Dental’s strategic initiatives. The learning experiences will engage learners in acquiring knowledge, skills and competencies in an effective manner that facilitates learning. Associate development will include the utilization of instructional theory and design best practices.

• Maintains courses created in LMS and troubleshoots issues related to course experiences in partnership with IT.
• Plays a key role in project implementations leading training delivery.
• Performs other duties as assigned to support the efficiency of the department.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Education, Human Resources, Instructional Design or related field, Master’s Degree preferred

Experience: 3-5 years
