Daikin Applied Ltd. is seeking an Instructional Designer II to design and develop advanced technical training for sales and service teams.

This hybrid Plymouth, MN role leads projects, guides external designers, and applies adult-learning theory to create impactful ILT, VILT, and eLearning experiences. You will work with Adobe Suite, Camtasia, and Learning Pathway to deliver curriculum aligned to business goals, analyze learner data, and coach instructors for effective delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field.
• 6–8 years of instructional design experience.
• Experience with ILT, VILT, and eLearning.
• 1–3 years of project management experience.
• Experience with highly technical training topics.
• Proficiency with authoring and delivery tools listed above.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop curriculum materials, lesson plans, assessments, and resources.
• Create large-scale training programs for sales and service audiences.
• Design learning experiences using pedagogy and adult learning principles.
• Analyze learner performance data and identify gaps.

The Senior Instructional Designer is responsible for designing and developing learning content that delivers performance outcomes. This role will lead design projects and will be expected to direct external instructional designers on project deliverables and day-to-day duties. Strong knowledge on a variety of learning modalities is highly desirable. The content in Daikin Learning is highly technical engineering topics and would require someone with experience on highly technical topics.
