Daemen University is seeking an Instructional Designer to enhance the educational experience for students and faculty. This on-campus role supports faculty in creating technology-enhanced, accessible courses and programs.

Join the Instructional Design team within the Office of the Vice Provost; Institutional Effectiveness and Academic Systems to lead course development, review, and accessibility efforts. This position offers a comprehensive benefits package and professional growth opportunities.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or related disciplines.
Experience with course design aimed at actively engaging students and meeting the needs of adult learners preferred.
Experience with online course reviews and communicating results and recommendations.
Familiarity with ADDIE, Backwards Design, formative feedback, etc.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with faculty in developing or converting courses for online, hybrid, and HyFlex learning modalities.
Work with SMEs to design and develop course materials using Backward Design and manage projects.
Review existing courses and recommend refinements based on best practices for online learning.
Develop online lesson materials using faculty content and software (Articulate 360, Camtasia) and Blackboard.
