Job summary

Embry-Riddle is seeking an Instructional Consultant (Intern) to support the Rothwell Center for Teaching and Learning Excellence (RCTLE) and ERAU’s Worldwide Campus. You will contribute to faculty development, review courses, and help ensure instructional quality through data review, observation, and learning experiences for faculty.

The role requires collaboration, strong communication, and proficiency with Canvas and MS Office; daily weekday availability and a willingness to participate in

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in education, instructional design, educational technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of three (3) years of teaching experience in a higher education or professional learning environment.
• Demonstrated knowledge of evidence-based teaching practices and pedagogy.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively support and guide faculty.
• Experience designing, delivering, and evaluating professional development or instructional training programs.
• Ability to collaborate with faculty, instructional support teams, and technical staff in a team-based environment.
• Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and learning management systems such as Canvas.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative with minimal supervision.
• Comfortable using collaboration tools such as Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and email for communication and training.

Responsibilities

• Propel the mission of the Rothwell Center for Teaching and Learning Excellence through data mining, observation, and faculty development.
• Support course management, quality control, and adherence to instructional best practices.
• Review courses to ensure alignment with contractual agreements and instructional standards; develop and offer learning experiences for faculty.
• Collaborate with ERAU-W faculty and participate in special projects.
