Job summary

The Muscogee County School District invites applications for the Academic Coach role. This position collaborates with teachers and school leaders to implement staff development, design assessments, and support school improvement plans across campuses.

Required are a Master’s degree in a related field, GA teacher certification eligibility (TSC endorsement preferred), and at least three years of successful teaching experience.

Qualifications

• Masters degree in a related field required.
• Valid Georgia Teacher certification or eligibility for GA certification; most hold TSC endorsement.
• Three years of successful teaching experience in a grade level served by the school.
• Excellent written and oral communication; ability to connect curriculum to learners.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement school staff development activities and programs.
• Assist teachers in developing classroom management strategies to improve student achievement.
• Secure resources to support the School Improvement Plan and monitor progress.
• Lead and support teachers in development of units and common assessments.
• Collaborate with principal and leadership team on reform efforts and staff development plans.
