Job summary

South Harrison Community School Corporation in Corydon, IN is seeking an Instructional Assistant - Study Hall to support students during study hall periods. The role is full-time with benefits, 7 hours per day, 35 hours per week, aligned to the 181-day school calendar.

Starting pay is 19.62 per hour. All employees must complete a nationwide criminal history check upon hire, and preferred qualifications include two years of college or equivalent credentials.

Qualifications

• All paraprofessionals hired after January 8, 2002 shall have one of the listed qualifications.
• Prefers candidates who meet one or more of the listed qualifications.

Education

Two years of college experience

Two year college degree

Passed the Para-Pro Assessment

One year or 1,000 hours of previous employment experience in a school or working with children

Passed annual school-level evaluations

Completed 48 credit hours of college level classes

Child Development Associate (CDA) Credentials

Completed LEA required professional development modules/training

Completed other requirements - LEA may request approval from IDOE
