Chesterfield County Public Schools is seeking an instructional assistant to support students with IEPs in general and special education locations under the direction of a special education teacher.
The position involves assisting with classroom duties, recording grades, preparing instructional materials, administering accommodations, supervising bus transport, lunch and recess, and documenting student progress according to IEPs.
Provides classroom and environmental supports, under the direction of a special education teacher, to students with Individualized Education Programs (IEP) served in general and special education locations . Performs routine clerical and instructional assignments within established procedures and standard practices. Contacts are made within and outside the department; Requires professional ethics in the handling of confidential student and family information. Each Instructional Assistant will have a specific set of work assignments, as directed by the special education teacher, specific to meeting the needs of students as indicated in the child’s IEP .
