Job summary

Jordan School District seeks a paraeducator to assist in implementing Individualized Education Plans and supporting students in an inclusive classroom. You will help manage behaviors and contribute to a safe learning environment under the guidance of the special education teacher.

This role is part-time with 25 or 17 hours per week, starting July 1, 2026; completion of required trainings within specified timeframes is mandatory to advance (lane progression requires additional training).

Qualifications

• Must complete Basic Training (5 hours) provided by JSD Special Education Department. Training must be completed within one week of hire as a condition of employment.
• Additional 40 hours of training is available through the Special Education department allowing the employee to increase to lane 5 upon completion.
• Training must be completed within six (6) months from hire date as a condition of employment.

Multiple Positions Available

• 25 hours per week
• 17 hours per week (Monday, Wednesday, Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.)
