Please be advised there are two Instructional Assistant positions open.

• Instructional Assistant
  • Part Time – 5 hours – Rogue River Elementary School
  • Part Time – 5 hours – South Valley Academy

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Two years of postsecondary study or an associate’s (or higher) degree or a passing score on a state or local academic assessment test.

JOB DUTIES:

• Assists teachers in the instructional setting
• Assists students and teachers with various literacy activities
• Prepares assignments, organizes and manages student work and progress binders under teacher direction
• Implements planned activities using teacher designed methods and materials for individual and small student groups for instructional support
• Prepares instructional materials using various office equipment, resource materials and AV equipment
• Assesses and reports student progress
• Supervises and ensures student safety in a variety of indoor and outdoor student activities including cafe, bus loading and unloading, field trips, hallways and other areas where students gather
• Maintains a safe environment for students at all times and reports concerns to the school administrator.
• Maintains competency in all position responsibilities
• Compiles with all safety and work rules, policies, and procedures
• Provides support to other positions as needed
• Assumes additional responsibilities as appropriate with little or no supervision
• Other duties may be assigned.

Position Type: Part Time

Salary: $17.31 to $22.62 Per Hour
