Job summary

Saddleback Valley Unified School District is seeking an Instructional Assistant Moderate/Severe at La Tierra Early Child Center. This part-time role (9.5 months/year, 5 days/week) supports students with moderate to severe disabilities, providing instructional support, personal care, behavior management and social skills development under teacher direction and IEPs.

Responsibilities include one-on-one or small group work, ensuring student safety and addressing medical or behavioral needs.

Qualifications

• CPR/First Aid certification required.
• Must have two years of college (48 units) or an AA degree or higher, or CBEST passing.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with moderate to severe disabilities with instructional support, personal care, behavior management and social skills development.
• Work with students individually and in small groups following teachers' instructions and IEPs.
• Ensure student safety, assist with body-care needs and handle medical or behavioral issues as they arise.
