San Juan Unified School District is seeking an Instructional Assistant III for a 1:1 student aide role supporting students with moderate to severe needs, including emotionally disturbed and autism classroom settings.

Ideal candidates will have experience with group activities, coursework in child development, and the ability to obtain a California Class C Driver License within 30 days. Attach high school diploma and required test documents as part of the application.

QUALIFICATIONS

Instructional Assistant IIIs support our severe/emotionally disturbed students. We are looking for candidates with any combination of experience and training which provides the candidate with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job duties. Severe/Emotionally Disturbed - working with students who have a Learning Handicap or Communicatively Handicap programs. Students designated as an emotionally disturbed (ED) class or an autism class or assigned to a Behaviorist to assist individual students. Experience working with groups of children; experience working with impaired children or adults highly desirable; coursework in child development highly desirable. See the job description for full details. * In some programs, possession of, or willingness and ability to obtain a valid California Class C Driver License within 30 days of hire or before driving any equipment/vehicle requiring this license.

• [B] Official passing score from the California Basic Educational Skills Test (CBEST)

**Passing the IA Proficiency Test or having the CBEST is required, regardless of educational background. Applications submitted without the required test results will not be considered.
