Job description

INSTRUCTIONAL ASSISTANT II - SPECIAL EDUCATION

Anticipated Site: Corey Elementary School

Under the general supervision of the school principal, the Instructional Assistant II performs various follow-up instructional activities, assists in training and learning activities with children experiencing special learning needs, and supports instructional personnel with routine clerical and supportive tasks. Additional related work may be assigned.

Application Process

Applicants meeting the minimum qualifications will be invited for testing. To proceed, applicants must pass all testing components. The position requires a fingerprint background check by the DOJ/FBI. Current BPSD employees requesting a transfer will be given priority consideration.

  1. CPR/First Aid Certification (Copy of certificate or a letter indicating you will obtain certification within six months of employment)
  2. Letter(s) of Recommendation (Two to three current, signed, and dated within the last year)
  3. Proof of High School Graduation (Copy of diploma, GED, or college degree)
  4. Resume
