Rio Americano High School is seeking an Instructional Assistant II to provide 1:1 support for students with mild to moderate needs. This part-time role offers 7 hours per day (0.875 FTE) and focuses on assisting students in Resource, Learning Handicap, or Communicatively Handicap programs while supporting the classroom teacher.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Instructional Assistant II's mild/moderate - working with students served in Resource, Learning Handicap or Communicatively Handicap programs. Example of typical duties include running small groups, assisting students in large groups in both Special Day Class settings or General Education and supporting the teacher's needs. We are looking for candidates with any combination of experience and training which provides the candidate with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job duties; See the job description for full details. *In some programs, possession of, or willingness and ability to obtain a valid California Class C Driver License within 30 days of hire or before driving any equipment/vehicle requiring this license

MATERIALS REQUIRED/REQUIREMENTS:

Must pre-qualify by attaching your High School Diploma or equivalent and one document [A or B] from the following list:

• [B]Official passing score from the California Basic Educational Skills Test (CBEST)

**Passing the IA Proficiency Test or having the CBEST is required, regardless of educational background. Applications submitted without the required test results will not be considered.
