Job summary

The San Juan Unified School District is hiring an Instructional Assistant II to provide 1:1 support for students with mild/moderate needs at Woodside. This is a 6-hour per day position, 0.75 FTE, supporting classroom teachers in both Special Day Class and General Education settings.

Ideal candidates will have experience with resource programs and be able to run small groups, support students in large groups, and complete the required documentation.

Qualifications

• Experience with mild/moderate disabilities in Resource or Special Day Class settings.
• Ability to run small groups and support teachers' needs in general education.
• Willingness to obtain a California Class C Driver License within 30 days if required.

Responsibilities

QUALIFICATIONS:

MATERIALS REQUIRED/REQUIREMENTS:

Must pre-qualify by attaching your High School Diploma or equivalent and one document [A or B] from the following list:

• [A] Passing score from San Juan Unified School District's Proficiency Exam** - testing date must be April 2005 to current. No other school districts proficiency exam will be accepted. (To request a digital test, please complete the Google Form here: Pre-Employment Test)

• [B] Official passing score from the California Basic Educational Skills Test (CBEST)

**Passing the IA Proficiency Test or having the CBEST is required, regardless of educational background. Applications submitted without the required test results will not be considered.
