Reap in Jackson, Mississippi is seeking an Instructional Assistant for Exceptional Ed. to support instructional activities and classroom management under the supervision of the principal.

The role emphasizes assisting with IEPs, adapting materials, and maintaining progress records in a well-organized classroom environment. Starting immediately, the position is full-time with 185 school days per year and a starting wage of $14.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Meets qualifications for NCLB (48 hours of college or higher; pass state mandated test - Work keys)
• Ability to work with young children

Responsabilités

• Demonstrates and instructs activities as directed by the teacher.
• Organizes activities and materials under the direction of classroom teacher.
• Maintains accurate documentation of child’s progress.
• Operates audiovisual equipment used in instruction.
• Exercises good judgement as to child’s needs.
• Adapts and modifies materials and techniques.
• Assists teacher in implementing Individual Education Plans.
• Participates in professional development and scheduled meetings.
• Performs other related duties as requested or assigned.
