Summary: Works under the direct supervision of program management to provide functional skills training and personal care to customers with disabilities.
Qualifications:
- Education/Experience: High school diploma or GED. Preference given to candidates with experience in day or residential programs serving persons with disabilities.
- Language Ability: Ability to read, write, and understand English. Strong oral and written communication skills are required. Must follow verbal and written instructions from supervisors.
- Math Ability: Knowledge of and ability to work with basic mathematical concepts.
- Computer Skills: Working knowledge of personal computers is highly desirable.
- Driving Skills: Valid CDL and a clean driving record are required.

Duties:
- Provides group and individual instruction daily
- Provides personal care, including bathroom duties, as needed
- Assists with behavioral management techniques as per instructional plans
- Records daily data on customer progress towards ISP goals
- Maintains classroom equipment and facility cleanliness
- Ensures compliance with Community Care Licensing regulations
- Builds rapport with customers, staff, and stakeholders
- Provides transportation for customers as needed
- Contributes to development of individualized service plans
- Participates in customer meetings and agency training
- Performs other duties as assigned
