Job summary

Qualifications

• Instructional Aide Certification II, III, or 15 Semester Hours of college credit and 1 year working with students
• Ability to manage behaviors
• Strong organization, communication and interpersonal skills
• General knowledge of curriculum and instruction
• Knowledge of subjects assigned
• At least 3 years of relevant experience preferred
• Associate degree preferred

Responsibilities

• Promote the mission and philosophy of Ki Charter Academy
• Assist teachers and students in academic success and measuring results
• Conduct instructional exercises and work with individual students or small groups
• Maintain positive relationships with teachers, administration and facility members
• Help maintain administrative records and prepare reports
• Respond to directives from teachers and staff promptly
• Maintain classroom and supervise students when teachers are away
• Organize materials and adapt lessons for student needs
• Participate in staff development and meetings
• Utilize computers in duties and responsibilities
• Keep teachers informed of student needs and progress
• Provide feedback and positive reinforcement to students
• Perform other duties as assigned
