Overview

Lincoln Leadership Academy Charter School is seeking motivated and dedicated Instructional Assistants to support teachers and students across all grade levels (2025-26 school year). The Instructional Assistants will work collaboratively with classroom teachers to provide instructional support, facilitate small group instruction, assist with classroom management, and be enthusiastic about making a positive impact in urban communities.

Key Responsibilities:Instructional Support:

  • Assist classroom teachers in implementing lesson plans and instructional activities
  • Provide individualized support to students to reinforce learning and promote academic growth

Small Group Instruction:

  • Facilitate small group instruction under the direction of the classroom teacher
  • Work with students in targeted intervention groups to provide additional support in specific subject areas

Classroom Management:

  • Assist with classroom management and behavior support strategies to maintain a positive and productive learning environment
  • Implement positive reinforcement techniques to promote student engagement and participation

Materials Preparation:

  • Assist with preparing instructional materials, resources, and equipment for classroom activities and lessons
  • Organize and maintain classroom materials and supplies to support teaching and learning

Data Collection and Progress Monitoring:

  • Collect and record student data, including assessment scores and progress monitoring data
  • Assist teachers in tracking student progress and adjusting instruction as needed

Parent and Teacher Communication:

  • Communicate regularly with classroom teachers regarding student progress, behavior, and academic needs
  • Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to support a cohesive and collaborative learning environment

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in education or a related field
  • Previous experience working with children in an educational setting preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and take direction from classroom teachers
  • Clearances: FBI fingerprints, PA state background check, child abuse history clearance, and a physical examination
