Washington County School District MEADOWVIEW ELEMENTARY SCHOOL in Meadowview, Virginia seeks an Instructional Aide & Transportation Aide. The role supports classroom teachers, assists with instruction, and provides student transportation on designated routes.

This 182-day contract pays $16.29 to $23.03 per hour with benefits including VRS pension, life insurance, medical/dental coverage, and paid sick/personal days; starting immediately.

Qualificações

• Assist classroom teachers in managing and instructing students.
• Transports students on routes following schedule and safety laws.
• Current Meadowview area instructional aide preferred but not required.

Job Description

QUALIFICATIONS:

Instructional Aide - Helps the classroom teacher(s) in the management and instruction of students; performs related tasks as required and directed; performs work under the direction and supervision of the classroom teacher(s); however, the assistant may independently carry out routine aspects of the instructional program.

Van Driver- Transports students over a specified route(s) according to time schedule and in accordancewith all safety regulations and traffic laws. Driver is responsible for safe transport to and from schools or other places of school activities for studentsMust have a good driving record.

A currently employed, instructional aide in the Meadowview area is preferred, but not required for this position.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT

Contracted – 182-day position

Salary – Commensurate with education and experience
