Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of successful experience as an Instructional Aide or equivalent in a special education or related setting.
• Demonstrated expertise in student personal care (toileting, feeding, hygiene, lifting, positioning).
• Strong collaboration skills and ability to support across multiple classrooms and teams.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary on-the-job trainer for newly hired Instructional Aides during onboarding and placement.
• Model effective instructional support strategies, including student engagement, prompting, communication supports, and behavior support implementation.
• Provide hands-on guidance in personal care procedures and safety techniques as applicable.
• Orient new staff to routines, student needs, and program expectations; track onboarding progress and communicate with supervisors.
• Provide ongoing coaching on engagement, data collection, instructional and behavioral strategies; offer real-time feedback and reflective support.
